Congratulations to David and Dori Frost on their wedding on August 13, 2016. This day truly felt like we were part of the family. Even though we share the same name we are not related. Hayley and I went to the grooms dinner and got to know the Frost/Nelson families while crystalizing their “Frosty” memories. It rained during the rehearsal and there was a chance of rain the next day but held off to become a gorgeous day. We are so happy for this beautiful couple on their new life adventure, hoping many years of growth and happiness to your life together. Thank you for choosing Frost films to capture your Frost day!
Jenny and Chris were married on May 21, 2016 in Austin Minnesota. It was a beautiful spring day filled with lots of sunshine, family and friends. Their wedding was fun to film and the first time using a drone to capture a wedding party. The only disappointing moment of the day was when we realized that the airport was too close to the ceremony location in order to gain authorization for drone take-off. However, we ended up flying it off site after driving into the city of Austin and were able to hover it over the SPAM museum for some amazing shots. The day went perfect and everyone had an amazing time. Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Clennon, it was an honor for Frost Films to capture your wonderful day!
Congratulations to David Frost and Dori Nelson on booking photo and video services with Frost Films for their wedding this summer! It was a pleasure meeting with this beautiful couple in St.Cloud at the end of April. They are very happy together and are looking forward to their up coming wedding. Although David and I share the same last name we are not related I have a feeling that we I will be just like family on their big day.
I look forward to capturing their most sacred event and am honored for Frost Films to be a part of it!

As time has passed and many weddings have been filmed, I’ve often wondered of the past impact of previous videos. I recently had the immense pleasure of making contact with the one of the first people who hired me to do wedding videography in Central Minnesota area. Her name is Janine Gerads and she had hired me to film her daughters wedding in 2012. It was a beautiful summer day with plenty of sun and smiles. Although I had filmed others weddings prior to this, I had a new camera and was excited to use it. The Sony NEX-VG10 became my main camera for many years, it was very reliable, easy to use, and light weight. The videography package included interviews with guests and a highlight video. The highlight video turned out great, Janine loved it so much that she requested 10 more DVD’s, which I provided at no extra fee. Her testimonial is below.
Janine Gerads: Daniel did a great job in videotaping my daughter’s wedding. My favorite part of the video was when he incorporated the song that we picked for the father/daughter dance and made a montage of different parts of the day from beginning to end. We loved it. Don’t hesitate to hire him for your wedding.
While building the Frost Film’s website it was important to gain testimonials from past clients. Shortly after a mass email was sent out, many positive replies came in. It’s so good to hear back about the positive experiences of past clients. Even after 4 years, all of the clients had something positive to say about the service they received from Frost Films. Many couples still watch their wedding videos and highlight video around the time of their anniversary every year. It is rewarding to know that Frost Films provides many people and families with memories they can look back on for a life time. Crystalizing these important events is a huge honor and I have always treated videography with the highest degree of professionalism and have been constantly conscious of the fact that these videos will be watched many times over the years and shared with friends and family. This is the reason that wedding videos need to be trusted to a person who truly cares about the end results.
Since Frost Films began as a non-profit organization which only accepted donations there wasn’t always money to update equipment. Yet, little by little the funds were raised and now Frost Films has updated equipment and a website. It is a relief to finally have a website and more professional equipment in order to provide customers better quality video for their investment. I look forward to seeing an excellent response from Central Minnesota in 2016, especially closer to the summer months.
Today Frost Films has upgraded with a new camera named the Sony HXR NX3. This new video camera performs very well in low light situations and is a wonderful addition to the tools which Frost Films can use to operate a highly professional videography service. Its exciting to have this new “run and gun”, high quality video camera that includes a built in light, XLR hookups, and a 20 times zoom. Our central Minnesota videography service is going to benefit greatly from constantly upgrading service equipment. Clients and customers get an exceptional value from a higher quality product while Frost Films also benefits from a better work flow. There are many improvements coming in order to increase the quality of wedding videos and marketing videos. Stay tuned for rapid improvements and let Frost Films become a part of your next project.
If you are interested in hiring a videography service in Central Minnesota, Frost Films offers the best quality for the best price. Frost Films was started by a college student who wanted to create a service that offered an amazing product for an amazing price. While attending film school Danny excersized his editing and film skills by offering videography services for a donation to friends and family. This expanded into DJ and photography in the summer of 2011 when the opportunity presented itself. Shortly after graduating college Danny married his college sweet heart, Hayley, who ended up making a perfect addition to Frost Films. They have filmed over 30 weddings together while Danny has deejayed over 80 events. In January of 2016 it was time to launch FROST FILMS to the general public. Danny learned to edit a wordpress website and the website was launched a day after valentines. Videography service is the main focus of the services but photography and DJ are included. Welcome to wedding videography in Saint Cloud Minnesota brought to you by Frost Films.
Videography has been a passion of Danny Frost since he first discovered a camera at the young age of 10 years old. His dream of owning a his own videography studio has finally come true in the Saint Cloud area. After 10 years of filming weddings and 4 years of films school, Danny has gained plenty of experience to provide a professional service in central Minnesota. He looks forward to keeping offering his services at a much lower rate than any other wedding service because he doesn’t do it just for the money but to help couples crystalize their memories for a life time. It is his passion to create high quality videography, photography, and deejay at an affordable rate. Danny is a full time elementary teacher during the year where he makes a majority of his income so does not depend on the income from FrostFilms. Here is some advice for choosing a videographer for your wedding.
First of all, it is very important that your videographer has plenty of experience with a portfolio to back it up. Many videographers were never trained to operate a camera so a degree in film is a big plus.
Second, what is the cost of service? Many video services must survive off of the income they make from their service so they must charge a lot of money. Always double check prices with other services in order to find something in your price range.
Lastly, make sure that you and your videographer’s personality will be fun, creative, entertaining, and professional. This is important because after all the people in front of the camera usually just reflect what the person behind the camera transmits.
I hope this short blog has been helpful! If you would like to discuss more about video, photo, or deejay services please contact Frost Films as we would love to assist with all of your wedding plans.
